Save Our State is concerned that political undertakings offered to the South Australian electors at election time seem to bear little relation to political actions taken afterwards.
SOS believes:
1. That the Government members in the SA parliament should keep the promises they made at election time (both positive "we will ..." and negative "we would never ...)
2. That the SA Government should not make far-reaching decisions on the future of SA without consultation with their electorate.
3. That the SA Opposition duty is to monitor government behaviour and ensure that government decisions are just, honest and appropriate - not to be destructive to score political points.
4. That all SA politicians should realise that they are elected to represent their electors in a responsible way, not to play Party Politics or engage in factional brawls.
5. That all SA politicians should realise that all the facilities, salaries and advantages they enjoy are provided by the people of SA and should be treated with the respect due and used solely for the benefit of the providers, namely the people of SA.
6. That all SA Federal politicians, particularly those elected to the Senate (the ``States House'') should have the welfare of the people of SA as their first concern, rather than their allegiance to any political affiliation.
SOS seeks to expose differences between the undertakings and the performance of SA politicians and governments.
SOS endeavours to show where undertakings seem not to have been put forward where they should have been, and to demonstrate how the results of this lack of apparent interest have been detrimental to SA.
SOS at all times seeks to ensure that in exposing areas of concern, it does so accurately, fairly and without any political agenda or bias.

Save Our State (SOS) is an apolitical lobby group vitally committed to the prosperous future of South Australia. We are concerned that politicians of all persuasions in South Australia continue to make ad hoc, expedient, unwise and short term decisions with more regard for immediate political results than for wise and effective long term outcomes for the people of South Australia.
